Lemonade Day

Lemonade Day is a FREE, citywide educational initiative designed to teach kids how to start, own and operate their own business -- a lemonade stand. Kids ages 3 to 18 learn to set a goal, make a plan, sell a product, make a profit and give back to the community.

Register today at www.LemonadeDay.org.

In 2009, youth earned $2 million and gave $500,000 back to the charities of their choice.

Through Lemonade Day, families, businesses, community organizations and schools come together for a common purpose -- to train the next generation of entrepreneurs through a free, fun experiential activity.

How it works:

First, kids register with a caring adult and receive a backpack with an entrepreneur's workbook and caring adult guide.

Young entrepreneurs will set up their stand on May 1, 2011. Children get to keep the money they make and are taught to spend a little, save a little and share a little with the community.
